MIKE LUND of San Luis Obispo, CA will judge Cutting on Saturday, and Ranch Horse, Buckaroo and Reining classes on Sunday.
BRUCE SANDIFER of Santa Barbara, CA will judge the Old Style Reata Roping on Sunday.

Wow! How cool is this? The Club’s old flag, from the early 1970’s, mended, back up and ready for the Roundup thanks to Debra at the Silver Treadle in the Camel Valley Village. In conjunction with the Carmel Valley Historical Society, we are offering FOR SALE at the Roundup a set of 3 wonderful history books (125 pgs total). These books bring to life the early days of ranching in Carmel Valley, from about 1880 on. These books detail several founding families and contain many historical photos from private collections never previously published. This year we are adding or increasing paybacks for most classes. 2016 paybacks will be $20 from each entry in these classes: Cutting, Calf Doctor, Rancher’s Choice, Sorting, Ranch Horse, Buckaroo, Four-Man Branding, Ladies/Mixed Roping and Reata Roping. (Only a few classes will not have paybacks: Trail, Ranch Riding, Reining, Jr/Sr Roping and Jr/Sr Rancher’s Choice). We think this will add to a fun, competitive weekend!
This year we are extending the time limit on our popular Two-man Ranch Sorting class to 90 seconds. Stay tuned for entries to open August 1.

Donations assist with operating costs as well as the purchase of quality prizes awarded to our contestants. To show our appreciation for your donation, your business or name will be listed on the Roundup’s website, Facebook page and program. Major sponsors who donate $300 or more will have their business featured on a 4 x 10 foot banner which will hang in our main arena. Donors of $200 or more will receive an advertising ‘badge’ on our website. These are great ways to promote your business.
